{"id":209,"date":"2013-03-09T20:52:02","date_gmt":"2013-03-09T20:52:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mrbecology.co.uk\/wordpress\/?page_id=209"},"modified":"2016-10-27T20:31:14","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T20:31:14","slug":"209-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mrbecology.co.uk\/?page_id=209","title":{"rendered":"Habitat Management Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Case Study &#8211;\u00a0 Acid Grassland<\/h2> <div style=\"width: 522px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mrbecology.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Acid-turf-and-scrub.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/mrbecology.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Acid-turf-and-scrub.jpg\" alt=\"Acid turf and scrub\" width=\"512\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Acid turf and scrub<\/p><\/div> <p>An area of Public Open Space on the outskirts of Bawtry required an Ecological\u00a0 Management Plan.<\/p> <p>The site supports a range of acid grassland, heathy woodland and lichen-bryophyte heath habitats.<\/p> <p>An extended Phase 1 Habitat survey of the whole site was undertaken, including bryological survey commissioned from a specialist surveyor.<\/p> <p>The results of the site survey and background data search were reviewed against the Local Sites Selection criteria and with reference to the Doncaster Biodiversity Action Plan and Species Audit.<\/p> <p>A written site-description was produced describing the habitat types and compartments present on the site.<\/p> <p>The major components of these habitats and significant site features were identified.
